British "boy" band Take That are back, with a new single Rule the World, written and recorded as the theme song for the epic adventure movie Stardust (starring Robert De Niro, Sienna Miller, Ricky Gervais, Claire Danes, Michelle Pfeiffer, Sir Ian McKellen and Rupert Everett).


Rule the World
also appears on a new "Tour Souvenir Edition" of the lads' comeback album Beautiful World. The repackaged album includes 3 new songs, plus a bonus DVD with 4 music videos (Patience, Shine, I'd Wait For Life, Rule the World), and interviews with the group behind the scenes of their tour.

Rule the World plays over the closing credits of the film Stardust, and features Gary Barlow on lead vocals. It has apparently already been nominated for an Oscar.

It seems the boys will be pipped at the post in this week's UK Singles Chart though, with X Factor winner Leona Lewis expected to take the #1 spot with her ballad "Bleeding Love".

The song and video for Take That - Rule the World features the Millennia Ensemble, an 18 piece string ensemble. The video was recorded at Abbey Road Studios, and also includes clips from the movie Stardust...
