Everybody's favourite animated tv family The Simpsons are heading to a Universal Theme Park near you... and we're not just talking about walking stuffed toys!
A new ride based on the hit 20th Century Fox cartoon The Simpsons will open in Spring 2008 (that's US Spring) at both Universal's Orlando Resort and at Universal Studios Hollywood.
Simpsons creator Matt Groening says the ride will aim to "duplicate the Simpsons home-viewing experience, only at high speed and with lots of screaming" ;-)
The ride will mix the elements of thrill rides, dark rides and live show in a new fantasy amusement park dreamed up by Krusty the Clown. Visitors to the theme parks will get to experience the world of the ever popular Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie Simpson.
The voices for the new attractions will be provided by the original vocal stars of the long running tv show, now into its 18th season. The 400th episode of The Simpsons is due to air in the United States next month, with the long awaited
The Simpsons Movie due in theatres around the end of July.
